About

We are a boutique financial advisory firm, which specialises in helping growing companies achieve their financial goals in difficult circumstances.

Avior Consulting was founded in 2012 by Dermott McVeigh to offer a more dedicated service to growing companies in need of high-quality financial advice and support. Prior to establishing Avior Consulting in 2012, Dermott was a Partner at Deloitte in Perth and specialised in restructuring, debt & credit advisory and middle-market M&A.

Our team aims to develop trusted advisor relationships with our clients and pride ourselves on delivering services, which substantially contribute to the development of our clients’ businesses.

How can we help
Our restructuring experts work with companies dealing with financial difficulty. When this happens it is vital that you seek professional advice as early as possible. (Note: our initial consultation is free!) The faster you begin developing a plan, the better chance your business has of surviving.

Our corporate turnaround team uses a proven framework that applies regardless of the size of the business. Achieving a successful turnaround is not an art as some would have you believe but a science, and our scientific approach can be applied to your business.

Meet our team
Our leadership team specialises in restructuring, insolvency and turnaround with the capabilities and resources to service companies across the whole of Australia.

Why us?
We are known for being creative. We have done many deeds of company arrangements and restructuring transactions via liquidation. These assignments have ranged from designing the restructure of a small father/son flooring business to orchestrating the turnaround of a $200m engineering group.

We also back ourselves. We’ve participated as a lender in restructuring plans and assembled an investor group for the restructure of an ASX-listed mining company. In that case, we were the lead investor and we brought the restructuring plan to the company’s directors.

Our turnaround expertise extends to the point that we have been brought in as interim CEO and chief restructuring officer as part of large turnaround mandates.

Finally, we are a boutique, which means we’re small with lower costs, and yet offer the skills and services of the larger firms.
